Technically, the minimum service for SSC officer is 5 years not 10 years. For this there is a special ruling, in which officer has to apply individually at 4.5 years of service.
Also, the officer will be entitled to terminal gratuity because of the special provision I believe
Hi Amar, thank you for asking the question.
The right answer would be “IT DEPENDS”.
I will say you will do fine after leaving the force after 5 years. You will gain a quality leadership experience in your tenure, but you will not at same level as per your peers in corporate level.
But, if you are that much ready to leave the army then I would suggest you to thoughtfully consider the option to not join the force and work on your skill to be ready for corporate world.
So, it actually depends on what are your reasons and conditions for which you are joining armed forces.
Officer doesn’t loose their commissions after leaving the service, so you can be relaxed for this.
wish you a good luck and feel free to ask any other question you may have about the service or any other rules.
Sir will the officer, still be eligible for resettlement course and gratuity considering that the minimum service for SSC Officer is 10 Yrs?
For resettlement course yes, but not for gratuity as it’s one of the precondition is to have a minimum service of ten years.
Thank you sir
